Under the leadership of Founder and Managing Director Rona Tait, TDS Commercial is driven by a highly skilled team who ensure the business delivers reliable, high quality laundry solutions tailored to each customer’s needs.
Rona serves as a Board Director of the Textile Services Association (TSA) and the National Laundry Group (NLG). She is also a Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Launderers and has been awarded the Freedom of the City of London for her contribution to the industry, reflecting her dedication to the advancement of the sector.
Our history
TDS Commercial began in 2006 when Founder and Managing Director Rona Tait took over a small self-service launderette in Twickenham.
What started as a simple domestic laundry service quickly evolved into something more, as Rona recognised a growing demand for high quality, trustworthy commercial laundry support. Her hands-on approach and strong work ethic laid the foundation for what the business would become.
As demand grew, Rona expanded into a small unit in Isleworth, where she began developing a bespoke service for privately owned hotels, beauty spas, sports organisations and film production companies. Her reputation for reliability and technical expertise soon attracted high profile clients, including Formula 1 racing teams and professional rugby clubs, affirming TDS Commercial’s position as a trusted specialist.
Today, as TDS Commercial continues to grow, the heart of the business remains unchanged: a focus on quality and environmental responsibility, while continuing to build strong relationships with our customers.
Our premises
In 2014, TDS Commercial moved to its current 6,000 sq. ft purpose-built premises, enabling the company to scale its services, invest in new technology and build a team of around 30 dedicated staff, 80% of whom are women.
Our Isleworth facility is designed with sustainability and efficiency at its core. Equipped with advanced Ozone technology, intelligent machine programming and eco-friendly processes, it allows us to deliver consistently high quality results while significantly reducing our environmental impact.
Our wash systems use Ozone technology to clean effectively at lower temperatures, cutting energy use and minimising the need for harsh chemicals.
One of our key innovations is our bespoke water management and filtration system, engineered in partnership with Christeyns UK. This compact system recovers and recycles water throughout the day, reduces waste and ensures our processes remain as environmentally responsible as possible.
With over 25 pre-programmed wash options, every item receives the precise care it needs for optimum cleanliness, brightness and fabric protection, from luxury hotel linen to spa towels, chef uniforms and delicate specialist wear.
To further reduce single-use plastic, all laundry is delivered in reusable cotton hampers, supporting a cleaner, more sustainable supply chain.
Regular independent assessments from the LTC guarantee that every garment maintains brightness, softness and durability, ensuring longevity and reducing unnecessary replacements.

Hayley, our Operations Manager since 2010, ensures the business runs smoothly day-to-day with her deep operational knowledge, customer focus and attention to detail.
Calum, our General Manager who joined in 2023, plays a key role in overseeing the business and production, quality control and team development.
Together, they form a strong leadership team that anchors the business. Their combined experience, hands-on involvement and shared commitment to sustainability create a work environment where camaraderie and high service standards thrive.
